Police Investigating Fatal Crash on Route 9 in West of Georgetown

Georgetown, Delaware (August 4, 2017) – A possible fatality was reported Friday afternoon after two vehicles collided in Georgetown, a local news source reported.

The crash occurred at around 1 p.m. Friday, August 4 on Route 9 also known as County Seat Highway at Tyndall Road.

The manner in which the collision happened was not known. The crash was reported as a possible fatal accident. Injuries sustained were yet to be known.

The crash prompted the closure of Route 9 between Tyndall and Experimental Station Road.

An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the collision.
